CARDO : radio on fix

Everyone with Cardo voice recognition (Edge onwards) suffers the extremely annoying radio coming on , when chatting .
At NEC yesterday I was shown a fix ;

Not obvious ;
Cardo app / Settings / User guides and supports/list of voice commands …
Disable “Hey Cardo radio on”


(I don’t think anyone likes the radio
Some have resorted to disabling all voice recognition )

Note this fix is only available for Edge onwards and not a Black, which I also own .

voice recognition on the Cardo is shocking.
I've never got it to work properly, so don't use it.

I do not agree Barnoe. That said , I only use a few of the available commands . For me , “Hey Cardo volume up/down” or “Hey Cardo music on “ or Hey Cardo next/previous track” works every time , 100% of the time. My Edge is the best , most outstanding comms device that I’ve ever owned , and I’ve owned many, some of which were downright aweful .

My Cardo Packtalk very often starts to play radio music when I am out on the road training students, only in my case it is never tuned in properly to a music station but somewhere in between so I just get an earful of white noise and static. Hey Cardo Radio Off always seems to work but I have no idea why it suddenly decides to do this without any interaction or command from me. Irritating to say the least.

Yeah, voice recognition. clearly picks up something which activates the radio.
(The radio on all Cardo’s is also so terrible , that I cannot understand why it cannot be entirely disabled .
Music , (or mp3) on the other hand is fabulous .)

My Black is a Packtalk bold ,so I’ll guess that this fix is sadly not yet available for other Packtalks … I.e. Edge onwards only

Used to happen on my bold, but have had an edge for nearly a year and have never experienced the radio on issue. Have found no issue with voice commands either. Must be lucky

The Edge is the best bit of kit ever
( as I’ve said before ; I do not think this fix is available for bolds and bolds, like my black , do not have the sophistication of the edge )

I'm using the 4X. Maybe a lesser animal that the models mentioned above, but I'm so impressed with the unit. Voice control is just fabulous. I will never go back to Sena.

As for the radio...I can't ever get it to scroll and find a station, manually or automatically with presets. But it has never come on without being asked...
