hi a while ago i had a 20mph impact into the back of a 4 x 4 my fault they say but at the time i was avoiding a chap! who had pulled out on me that's buy the buy i suppose.
Today i rang Carole Nash who told me that the damage was going to cost £6500 to fix Bloody hell i thought that's going to write the bike off an 06 adventure with 40 thou on clock not so they have ordered the parts and are currently repairing her
The insurance valuation was £7600 it helps that i had just spent nearly a grand on servicing with some faultfinding new tyres and brakes ready for my annual trip to Spain. The insurance bod from AVIA who i am insured with took all this into account and explained that he could not find another bike and although the repair was over the threshold it was better to repair mine.
Thought i would share this new as it may help someone fight an uneconomical to repair claim but hells bells BMW spares must be bloody expensive i could have wobbled the bike home after the accident but the pain stopped me.
