For those of you that have the BMW Kit (so controller box and the additional buttons) https://shop.carpe-iter.eu/product/bmw-control-kit/. A question on installation if I may.

I know this plugs into the power outlet (Is it called the Nav Prep?) however I have removed my Nav Prep kit and replaced it with the BMW Dual USB thingy so that socket is now used up.

Did any of you have the same issue?

I can see the control box has a power out so I am assuming that I can just get power from that to the USB? With something like this https://shop.carpe-iter.eu/product/bmw-connectedride-cradle-adapter/

I have a 2019 R1250 GS Adventure Rallye TE if that makes any difference.

I just wired my quadloack wireless charging head into the power out of the controller unit and it works fine
Yeah thats what I have also done so obviously that now takes that socket away.

However it seems these guys sell an accessory that lets you piggy back off their device so as not to lose the USB connection

I thought the piggy back cable they did was so you could still connect the nav prep. The USB is a separate connection in the wiring loom as I still have mine in place

Oh I bought a dual USB socket that plugs directly into where the DIN thing went.....in fact I remember removing the NAV kit and covering up the socket for the NAV thing

Oh its going to be interesting when this turns up

I've just been and had a look. I was confusing myself
The Dual USB has replaced the DIN socket
Where I removed the NAV prep kit the plug is now free for when the kit arrives to plug directly into. For some reason I thought I had plugged the USB into that socket.
