Send your image to Carpuride (using the email address when it boots up) and they will format your image and return it free.

Thanks - I have read that if you rename it to boot_logo.JPG and reformat the image to the screen resolution and boot your device twice with the image on the flash card then that is all that is needed.
I think the resolution of the w702 is 1024x600 so I will give that a go.
Did they send you your image back with that file name and are you able to check the resolution of the image? I am assuming the instructions I have just given match what they told you - if so, then we can change our own images.

Good to know. All you get by return is a link with the .bin file. No idea what resolution this file is though.
Can anyone confirm if the W702B that connects to the original cradle is lockable please? TIA
Not sure you are getting your information from but it’s bollocks. Ordered mine direct from Carpuride because I had emailed previously got 30% discount on the 702 B which has the adapter for BMW Nave prep arrived in 10 days quicker than advised. Works as advised but had some vague questions on connection methods Carpuride technical support replied every time within 12 hours always helpful and polite all works and connects seamlessly every time
Yes, it locks just like the garmin device locks into the cradle.
Completely agree - you can even buy it from Amazon, who fulfilled the order so you can just return it back to amazon if there are any issues.
I am very happy with my device and have a zoomed in customised logo of the image you see as my icon on the left - You do have to ask carpuride for this service and it was done within 2days, it is not possible to do it yourself as I have mentioned previously in this thread.
Great device for android auto - I used it on a long trip down and back to Montenegro and on my way back was in 2 storms in Austria - if I was using my phone I would have had issues but phone was safe in my tank bag and had no issues with the W702B.

Just ordered the W702B from Amazon. Nearly missed the £40 off voucher tick box! £199.99 delivered by 1pm tomorrow.
Looks like a good deal - I paid 219.99 in mid may, so this is a bargain! I have used myrouteapp, google maps, waze 'almost' with zero issues. Waze has been by far the trouble free app, but I suspect the issues are related to the apps and not the carpuride device. Also stream music without issue just as it works in the car.
I would say the only annoying thing is that when you press the power button on the bike, everything turns on and pairs as you would expect. Then when you start the bike, all power is cut so the capuride turns off and then back on again when bike starts and so resets the pairing/loading of apps - a small annoyance when setting off with no directions...a slightly larger annoyance if you stall the bike....could be resolved with a small battery to keep the device alive for a minute or two when can power is cut.
Got it fitted today. Seems great. Searched the MRA forums but trying to find out if you can zoom out on the MRA next map. Can’t seem to by touching the screen from what I can see. Is it a case of “hey siri” “zoom out”?
You can, but you have to press one of the buttons in the bottom corner to go into like "map move" mode where you can then move up/down/left/right and zoom in and out also. Works fine, but, it would be nice if it supported pinch to zoom/move.
Not sure if this has been posted before but there are various ".bin" files on this FB page with full instructions to change the power up screen. A seperate issue though is trying to create my own as I cant find what resolution and size of pic is needed though as Im sure we could just create our own bin file from jpeg online at https://hsuper.tools/bin-converter/ . Haven't tried it yet though.

Could you share place where to buy adapter in Spain for W702 -GS1300.Got my W702 today and hoped the hole pattern on the back where the ball is would be a standard AMPS pattern, it isn’ttrying to mount it to the GPS on the 1300 is gonna look dumb with the balls and ram mounts so I’m not sure what to do.
There’s 2 Spanish companies who do a 3D printer adapter so you can use it on the BMW cradle but I bet it ain’t cheap.
Not for a 1300, but on a 1250GSA (in case this helps) I did not like the arrangement that comes with the 702. I have removed the ball and replaced with a 3D printed design block and has this bonded and bolted to again a 3d printed Zumo XT mount. I considered picking power up from pins but knowing these can cause fun I have a wired plug permanantly in place for the 702 that I just plug in while using the unit on my GS. I also have another bike which also has a zumo mount and a power lead for the 702 fitted. This for me works great, means I have the 702 locked onto the GS, can take off when needed, if in disaster I can clip in and use my Zumo XT. I can do the same on my second bike so have full portability and its much lower profile that the (in my view) cobbled together offering for the GS standard cradle / ball mount. Will post a few pics.
