I have been given this from a garage clear out .it's unopened. It's a 15/50 .I realy have no idea how old this can is .what's thoughts .
Should I use it on my old R100/7

Why not? Probably 4 million years old already, what another decade or two? API SF dates from 1980 so is current for your bike
 
Bearing in mind it’s probably more than 70 million years old and therefore won’t have a shelf life I definitely wouldn’t use it if the seal on the can lid has been broken. If the seal is ok then I wouldn’t hesitate to use it.
 
Use the oil…( if you have an airhead, this should be great) …..then sell the can on eBay as man cave motoralia….

I had a service from Boxerman many years ago. He put GTX in, and the bike ran noticeably better. I've not used it since then. I think the formula has changed since then.
