CAT OR NOT?

Bruce, sorry my GS, has a y piece that was on when I bought it, I fitted a Remus, and its right what they say, it makes a nice noise, but its annoying over long distance, went back to standard silencer about a month later, each to their own of course ;)

Causing offence.......

Stop, you silly tart and get stuck in. :D

to be honest iam jumpin the gun a bit i want to get it running in standard form first and then experiment with exhaust, air filter maybe chip, as i said jumpin the gun a bit:)

Tried mine with :-
a. standard cat and silencer
b. y piece and Remus with baffle
c. y piece with Remus minus baffle
d.y piece with standard silencer.

I found the best compromise was option (d) as it went better and was lighter with the Y piece and Remus with baffles it went well but droned as for the Y piece and unbaffled Remus it was ridiculously loud

not sure what iam going to do yet seems that people have different preferences. i will hopefully get it running first in standard trim and experiment after,,,,

Not tried the cat / stubbly yet but currently have a Y piece with Laser end can, no insert, Auritech ear plugs and it sounds bloody great...not overly loud but nicely baritone :D
The plugs (not ear related) are a good colour and it's returning 50.1 mpg on a long trip (with pillion & tent etc) so something must be right..has to be the ear plugs
