Has anyone had a firm date yet? Not a friend of a friend next door neighbour said or FB speculation.
"Honda hasn't entirely canceled the CB1000GT, but they have delayed its initial rollout and halted shipments while they address a global engine recall. The issue centers on improper cylinder finishing and piston ring specifications, which cause the engine to burn excessive oil."Can't recall why the big delay, but it feels like Honda have royally screwed up the intro of the GT...so much midwinter promise and now an 'end of season' (for many) delivery. I'd have been hacked off if I'd ordered one.
I think you covered it unintentionally in the first few wordsCan't recall why the big delay, but it feels like Honda have royally screwed up the intro of the GT...so much midwinter promise and now an 'end of season' (for many) delivery. I'd have been hacked off if I'd ordered one.
My mates neighbour has a cat who pi55es in the Honda car garage…he heard….Has anyone had a firm date yet? Not a friend of a friend next door neighbour said or FB speculation.
Made in China? So much for legendary Honda reliability![]()
Isn’t that the same with most parts on all bikes. There are not many manufacturers who actually build their own componentsThe final design and materials for the Piston and Rings are often contracted out to the piston supplier i.e. Federal-Mogul Powertrain. Might not be totally in Honda's court.
Will they be giving it away on 0% pcp to shift the volume of bikes to cover up the premature rollout mess and to gain consumer confidence?Ta, thats jogged my memory. The old fireblad unit that they denied had oil issues ? Anyhow....has/had great promise but timing is everything
That's a lovely looking bike. Decent price too.
At £11990.00 probably not. Will they be giving it away on 0% pcp to shift the volume of bikes to cover up the premature rollout mess and to gain consumer confidence?
Currently 8.52% according to the configurator I've just looked at.Will they be giving it away on 0% pcp to shift the volume of bikes to cover up the premature rollout mess and to gain consumer confidence?
