Cellular signal booster question.

Glad that you seem to have sorted the problem.

A place to solve problems from soil pipes to Mobile signals.

👍👍
Between us we could probably figure out how to get a mobile signal into a soil pipe and live stream a feed from some sort of remote controlled 'sledge' :D

I looked into exterior cell antennas and was put off by the advice that you need a really short run of cable between the antenna and the base or it eats up any gains made by the antenna.

Is that correct?

If you class Dartford Tunnel as a big soil pipe :DD , it's had leaky feeders for years, originally for FM, latterly for cellular.

It's also part of how the ESN has been rolled out across London Underground.

RC Sledge should be more than doable. :poop:

I don't know the answer to that @cookie I am aware that losses can occur over a long run but not the amount in this case. The cable from the booster to the indoor antenna is listed at 5m and to the outdoor antenna as either 15m or 20m and I have to admit that I didn't check. I'm trusting that the manufacturer has taken loss into account when determining the length of cable supplied. 🤞
