Hello folks. I'm after a good ground anchor and chain to satisfy my insurers. Its for use in my garage. I've looked on line at oxford beast and milenco sneafel chains but the chain looks too big to tread through the spoked wheels of my 1250 gsa. What are you lads/lasses using? as usual ive left this a little last minute:blast

In my garage I use anchor, chain and then big U-Lock that goes throught the wheel and connects to the chain. When I leave, the U-Lock stays in the garage connected to the chain. As my chain is short and not much flexible, I use U-Lock to the wheel but if you use normal, classic chain and if it's long enough, you can put U-Lock though the frame. There are planty of spots you can do use.

Try the Pragmasis system - ground anchor plus their anti-pinch pin and Squire lock. Various versions and lengths available. Nothing beats it.

Put the bike in backwards and thread the chain through to final drive tunnel?

I cemented a £25 Y anchor (30mm square) in the concrete, threading an Abus chain through it and their Victory lock.

The chain links are the weak point and will be cut through in no time with a battery powered grinder - the lock may have a 30mm pin, but they won't cut that.

I use Almax chains and Squire locks.

Solid pieces of kit.

I had 3 x steel Y anchors cemented into the garage and I loop through those.

For what it's worth - I have the big thick Almax chain and I thread it through the spoked wheels of the GSA no problem.
