Chain question

I've had a quick search but couldn't find a quick answer!!
Got a 2010 f650gs, looked at it the other day and thought the chain looked a little saggy, there is enough play in it to lift the saggy bit at the bottom up to the swing arm and there is still a littl more play, is that normal?

If it similar to the F 800 the play should be 35/45 mm, any more could mean you need to adjust the chain or replace it.

Remember it is to be checked with the bike on the side stand .......

Ah, ok I'll check that then. It was on the centre stand.

F650GS twin is between 30-40mm adjustment. I think it says on the side of the swing arm!

Do you not check it regularly then mate?

Well I've probably only covered a couple of hundred miles on it since I bought it, BMW had given it it's 5000 mile service.
I'm also new to all this two wheeled stuff and have much to learn.
I was out on it yesterday, got home popped it in the garage had a quick look over it and the chain, as I say looked a little saggy.
Yes I do check it visually, which is why the question was asked.
