I find the GS quicker than most (also have a Falco & Bandit) on twisty roads up to about 100mph

Last autumn in France my mates (ex-racer on Gixer thou, nutter on ZX-6)couldn't keep up easily on the mountain roads - andI struggled to hold on to them on the sweepy stuff

So it's horses for coursesinnit?

Although I'm selling the Falco this year as I find I never use it anymore. Makeof that what you will

My mate used to have a TCat. He and his best mate is into Porche's, Impreza and caterim (sp) 7. Recently on a trip to wales (while hammering on a twisty) he spotted a GS far behind them. He warned the driver to look out a GS was coming. The driver thought no problem he won't catch us. Before my mate could tell him he might be wrong the GS took him.
My mate's opinion is that a TCat just could not have done that on a twisty road like that.

They never caught him. Needless to say, after the trip to wales, my mate came round and did his monthly sitting on the GS and saying wow alot. Just coz he is 5'6" he won't have one - oh well his loss. Sad his always trying to deal with it.

BTW : the driver is seriously into track days and from what I have seen is well quick.

Now own up which one of you did this ? :nono

I love my GS to bits, but...

...I've also got a Fireblade, and on ANY road, the Fireblade will run rings round the GS

When it's twisty and/or bumpy, the GS makes a fair attempt at keeping up, but get on good surfaces or on a road with fast flowing bends, the GS doesn't stand a chance.

But guess what i use the most ;)

Anyone got any contact details / info about the new dealership opening in Glasgow?

The new dealer will be called Motoradd Central(or something very similar)and will be in the Bishopbriggs area of the city. Its linked to the Ducati shop in Great Western Road which is one of the very few dealers in this area with a not bad rep so we can only hope the new shop wont be typycal BMW(few exeptions)The bike show is about 3 weels away so expect an opening date to be announced at the show or round about that time.

Much appreciated - my mind is made up, I'll be riding 18 inches higher in 7 months, fingers crossed!
