Changing my front tyre by hand

I got a jam jar of tyre soap from a local car tyre fitter. Don't use detergents many contain salt and other corrosive stuff.
My rim protectors cost me very little from M&P. They tie together so less likely to flip off at the wrong moment.
My 12" tyre levers from the same folks are a bit long but why work harder than necessary.
If the old tyre with "broken" bead won't sit into the rim use a g-clamp to squeeze the sides together.

i few tips from my experiences changing both tube, and tubeless tyres.:

Don't use dish soap, i use bar soap and smear it round the tyre (dish soap ruined a KTM rear rim for me due to salt in it)

once you get going levering the tyre on, when your over half way and it starts to get harder, make sure the part thats 180 degrees fro the bit your levering is pushed into the well of the rim, thus given you some "slack" compared to if it were up on the bead, if that makes sense?

a warm tyre goes on a lot easier.

on tubless tyres i use a spade to break the bead, some times there hard, a vice would be easiest if you have a big enough one.
