Hi people.
Have any of you seen any deals to get me and my GSA over to France tomorrow morning?
And do I need to make bookings (web or phone) or can I just turn up on spec and purchase ticket for next crossing?
Looking to come back Thurs 25th so 1 week in Lyon and surrounding areas.
Regards.
Timpo.

On my return to the UK from my trip to Gib recently, I turned up at the tunnel without a booking.
I expected to pay a premium.
The nice young lady said it would be £120 and when I told her that I thought that was a bit much, she suggested that I tried the ferries.
I asked if she could do any better to save me running around and she gave me a day return price of £42 :thumb.
You could risk it a try that both ways, but maybe I just got her at a good time of the month :mmmm .
Mike.

Try booking Eurotunnel online. You can get some good deals if you don't want a flexible crossing time and should be able to get it for £60 or less return depending on crossing times.

Book online and you will get a reference number and when you turn up all you need is the credit card you paid with and the ref No. so you can check yourself in. :thumb

Enjoy!

Adam :)

Just got back from 10 days playing on my GS. Ferry to Bilbao then into Barcelona. Over the Pyrenees through Andora and then up France passed the Millau bridge and onto the Channel Tunnel without booking. I only payed 98 Euros because it all depends on how much demand there is. You could book the Flexiplus ticket (£99) and be guaranteed a place but better to
just turn up and take a chance and you will probably pay less.

Booked Norfolk Line, Dover to Dunkirk £46.
In Gerrards Cross now but it's an 0800 ferry in the morning so won't be drinking much beer.
I'll make up for it when in Lyon.
Regards.
Timpo

I'm taking the bike with two adults on Friday midday, back Sunday midday, for £36 with NorfolkLines (booked online) - Dover-Dunkirk. The equivalent P&O crossing, Dover-Calais, was a whopping £70 including a £10 fuel surcharge. The Tunnel was also £70.

£27 each way on the Tunnel earlier this week.

At just 25 minutes a crossing, it gets my vote every time. :thumb
