Cheap Chinese Rear mud sling £20

Here’s the Chinese front fitted today, 6days from China, no rough edges and a perfect fit. Fasteners will probably go so the inner ones that grip the standard fender got a quick dab of smooth rite straight to metal paint and dried off before fitting]

I wasnt confident in the fasteners security so added some mastic to the joining surface

I’ve bought the pannier bags for a GSA from the same seller, and they are great. Time will tell as to their longevity but they seem sturdy, fit perfectly and are better quality than the standard thin eBay “Great bikers gear” offerings.

Perfect fit and appear well made with a variety of storage pockets and a padded construction

I paid £30 including delivery, 7 day turnaround.

Have you got a link, can't seem to find them on that site

I have the risers also, £30odd delivered.

Hi did you get your risers from ebay could you post a link, most I have found on ebay seem to be the wrong size for my 2016 GSA , they are not 1-1/4" which I think is the size required

Thanks

Resurrecting a thread , made the mistake of buying a GoPro camera mount for my r1200GSA LC from E Bay from an apparent UK seller (but obviously Chinese supplied) , love to comment on the quality but despite quick delivery and the box having the correct part number for the GoPro Mount I now have a lovely stainless steel radiator guard for a Yamah MT03 .

One of the joys of buying cheap

Not sure what that has to do with a mudsling

Perils of buying a cheap Chinese knock off, you have no idea of what you are actually getting ........... a finely finished part, a tatty p.o.s replica or something totally different from what you are expecting

Most are produced in the same place as the originals

Bought a Chinese rear Mudsling thing. It was 70mm too short so sent it back as it hit my swingarm when sat on the bike.
Had mates GS next to me with an original Mudsling fitted so was good to compare sizes. Got refunded the money.

Has anyone tried these on an older Mk2? Have a 2009 Adventure and desperately wanting something to stop the mud splatter. They say they don't fit on their Ebay page. LC only

I bought a front and back set from Amazon for £35. Front looks identical to the £57 one nippy sells. The rear however didn’t look or fit that well, so it was removed and sold on here. So my front ended up costing me a tenner

Just a thought for you bargin hunters , a pal bought some Chinese levers , they looked great but after about a month the front brake lever developed a crack .
I had asked him to keep an eye on them as I was worried at the cheap cost. Now in the bin and now has spent his money wisely.
Buy once , quality , other wise it will cost you a lot more.

I for one, would never use cheap Chinese safety critical parts. Certainly not brake levers or such.

I agree. An example for me was when someone recently quoted they fitted a knock-off hugger, probably as they're much cheaper than a Puig one.

Anyway, he said the big fixing bolt came loose a few times, at one point only holding by a couple of threads. This is the same bolt that locates the bevel box, so quite important... The second screw is one of two that locates the caliper, also quite important.

I'd rather stick with the original designers of the aftermarket items (on anything other than bling) as they've put the effort in and understand the stresses etc.
