Cheap old glide for sale

My 94 Road King has air suspension, the screen is removable but not adjustable... it might even have anti dive brakes as I've never seen the front end do any diving when I apply them :D

Nice find re the Evo history :thumb2

So who bagged this latest find?.... I was sorely tempted just to have the paint work off it and swap it with my Black/Silver paint job, but wasn't sure if the tanks were the same :blast

you're setting yourself up for a home done satin black paint job :thumb.

the 80's is back - go for it :)

I too have never owned one and that article helps explain why I never will:

Just learning what all the model names mean would use-up the rest of my riding days, then trying to understand the differences between Pan-Heads, Shovel-Heads and Dick-Heads is just too much for my poor Old-Head.

I'm far too worried that I'd end-up buying the wrong bike with the wrong suspension type, the wrong number of cams, the wrong type of valve train drive, the wrong number of valves and probably the wrong combination of consonants that have been strung together (apparently at random) to name the model.

 :duno

One or two of them do look nice though.

as mutley says.....job done

They build them like that because they are trying to avoid appealing to a certain demographic ;)

Would that be straight peeps and proper M/C-ist per chance :augie :D

HERE'S[/URL] why you really should have an EVO engined harley.

You could say this article applies to BMW airheads as well...:augie

But an Evo is a better bike than an Airhead

( better = more reliable overall )

I think that could well be correct.

Completely opposite to the perceived image that has been built up. :D

Just an excuss to show of my old FLHS. (again)

1989 model. Got it new and kept it for 12 years before going through my "midlife crisis" Traded in for a Ducati 916 Monster.

Wish I'd never got rid of it. Paid £8750 for it, Got £4500 as a trade in price. FFS!!

Dealer wasn't to happy when the bike broke down with its new owner on his way home due to the alternator not charging the battery. I'd always assumed that the battery was flat because during the last year of my ownership it was hardly used.

Few minor issues with the bike, incuding rusty "fenders" (needed fixed and resprayed), exhausts rotting every couple of years. Biggest issue was gudgeon pin circlip disappearing, allowing pin to score the front cylinder to buggery. Fixed under warranty by HD.

S&S carb, Andrews cam, US spec silencers, low and wide bars.

Headlight, "passing" lights and taillights all fiited with "visors"

According to DVLA the bike is SORNed somewhere. Last known location around Aberdeen. Anyone up there know if its still around.

As far as i can tell there is no difference between an FLHS and a Road king ( 94-95 era )

maybe trinketry differences and clocks, but thats about it.
