So who was out and about this morning?

I was driving the family box northwards and saw a group of 3 GS and a red non-GS 4th bike heading south on the A286, Chichester to Witterings road at about 11 am.

That got me going 'cause I was out and about in the much colder air of yesterday without a soul around and wishing I had mates of my own :toungincheek

And I thought I was the only Tosser in the area. So hands up if you were on the ride :clap

HI Old Rascal !!

It was not me, but i live in Havant and have an 1150 GS... also a member of this ere forum...

when the weather improves lets organise a ride out to Hooks Way or somewhere out the back of the downs... we can see how many other tossers are lurking along the A27/A272 !

Twiz..

Oy :hide keep orf the 272 - thats mine!

Midhurstian who sees and hears all ride by....... so keep those silencers on please!

Some very nice places and rides betwixt the 27 and 272....

Cor, first sniff of Spring weather and up pop some likely playmates. :Motomartin

We ought to try and fix a meet as soon as the salt is cleared away, maybe head off to the New Forest for a play and a bite?

That said, there's a lot to be said for Slow Granger's wholly-owned bit of the A272. Midhurst/Petworth and ever onwards to a bacon butty in Littlehampton for example.

And Twizzle, you're a sailing man too by the looks of it. If I time it right and the wind plays ball, I can just make the tides from Birdham Pool to Hayling Island and back again in the day.

Strikes me that sailing and biking share a lot in common but that's another thread.

Boats and bike have alot in common with each other and with women. I drool over them, spend as much of my spare time as I can with them or thinking of them, I don't understand how they work and they take all my money:blast - oh and I want more than one :augie

Used to have a SHE33 but sold it :comfort mooring fees at Chichester in fact anywhere were a killer

Not that far away and regularly nip over to the Goodwood Aero Club. If the weather clears up I'm up for a run towards the end of the month. Might do Newlands Corner to Goodwood if you're interested.

And don't tell The Slow Granger but he ain't one to fly along the A272 just for the hell of it :D

It wasn't me either on the A286

Looks like we have a Convoy in the making.:thumb

So what about setting the last day in the month (Saturday 28th) as a target subject to etc. etc. And Goodwood is a great meeting place particularly if the cafe is open for a refueling event.

Who's up for it and with what itinerary? :bounce1

Wasn't me either, even though i was out and about in the area on thursday.

There's quite e few of us dotted along the south coast now :Motomartin. Usually meet up with a few of them at Newlands Corner for some great rideouts (check out the 3 counties video in my signature).

A local meet though sounds like a great idea. count me in. :thumb2

Have you got a route in mind ?

How about...

Cuppa at Goodwood Aero Club, out to Midhurst along the A272 to Winchester.
A3090 to Totton. A35 to Christchurch - lunch - A337 to Lymington, B3054 to Beaulieu A326 back to Totton. Then I'm a bit lost :reynolds Perhaps M27 to J7 out along A334 to Wickham. B2177 to Havant A259 back to Chichester.

But I have never riden the route and have no idea if it is a good idea or not - just a suggestion :nenau

Ride out

Hi All
Sounds good, should be able to make it work permitting! :drool

Will bring jump leads & tow rope just incase any 1200 come along! :comfort

Scuba :D

hope so..

but have ongoing weekend building project that is long overdue....

I'll keep watching and hope to join in.

Just a suggestion but we have really luverly scenery around us. Why not focus on this here terrain and get free coffee at Bahnstormers (Oops)? I am sure a couple will need an essential Motorrad item or two.... Either thta or risk a fry up at the Meon Cross!

Some very nice up and downy twisty bits between Goodwood, Petworth, Midhurst, Petersfield and Alton, and very few cattle grids! Superb villages off the beaten track for those that wish to tootle not total.

Steve (hence the Slow bit)
