Chigee AIO 6

The cameras plug into the BMW QR bracket that attaches to the unit with their own QR. Whereas the standard Chigee QR stays in place on the bike with cameras plugged into, they stay in place when you remove the unit.

The difference is that with the BMW QR you use the original nav prep, with the CQ you don't need that.

The benefit of all this is to make a single unit that can be adapted.

I used my Carpuride 702BS yesterday, first ride out for me (and the Mrs!)

I was quite impressed but I think 7" is too big as it blocks the top bit of my TFT so I think I might get the AIO-6 MAX, the BMW QR adapter and I think the camera's. Just want to make sure the camera's can act like dashcams and I can get the footage off it if I need to.

You can, I do in now with AIO 5. They come in 1,2 or 3 min chunks, but easy to put together afterwards. Just need a good memory card. Good thing is AIO 5 will take 256GB card, can't see the new one being any less.

With preorder program, it might be cheaper still, especially for existing customers, who have benefited from the previous preorder programs...

You are probably right but their kick starter seem to suggest nearer £400.
Even at £500 I'd still say its a better buy that the BMW Nav's. I love them to bits but they are a bit limited

The reviews look good, and I don't plan on buying another device after this, so I will probably go for the whole beans when the time comes. The influencers now have the promo packs, so the June-ish delivery date looks likely. The BMW Connected Ride Nav is £700, and there are a fair few on eBay around the £500 mark. So the Chigee, whatever is comes in at will be a steal.

I have the CRN and a W702BS, having sold my Chigee AIO-5 because I couldn't read the screen on the move, a factor that I don't see talked about often. It looked fine when I was just sitting on the bike. I bought my CRN from a forum member and wouldn't pay the new price. So far, it's been fine, fingers crossed. Once you know it's foibles it's a very good sat nav. It's not perfect.

The Carpurides screen is great. I don't like that it can't be powered off the bike and that updates come via an SD card.

If any members have eyesight issues, may I suggest that anyone thinking of buying the AIO-6 because the screen is bigger than the 5, try to see what it's like on the move, if possible.

The BM05 comes with two power cables, one with flying leads to connect to a power supply or battery, the other has a USB-A plug on the end. Only the yellow connector is required for off bike power.
