Choke Control Lever/Fast Idle Lever

I've found my RPM when using this has dropped recently from about 2k to 1.3k. I considered that the cable may have stretched however I've also read you can make a minor adjustment as well.

When I looked at the metal sleeve where the cable goes into the lever assembly I noticed that there is some play...loose. Looking at the exploded parts fiche there isn't a nut in this area so I assume there is supposed to be movement between this sleeve and the lever?

Hopefully the minor adjustment allowed will put the RPM at fast idle back to where it should be so I don't have to go into the ackward cable junction box etc......until next winter.

Thanks in advance....

Adjuster on cable

There's an adjuster on the cable after the rigid bend coming out of the switch assembly - it's covered by a plastic sleeve, just slide the sleeve back and there a knurled locknut & an adjuster sleeve.

Cheers......................Grizzly:beer:
