Cigarette lighter male to usb adaptor ?

I want to use my 660 in new car but the car doesn't have a traditional cigarette lighter socket-just 2 usbs for charging.How can I plug in my 660 ?

The device won't work with battery cover open. Maybe you can purchase a cig lighter socket to USB adapter on eBay.

are you sure its not just an adapter pushed into the lighter socket,

Don't think that would work, as on the 660 - it requires that you remove the cover (with prox switch) and battery.

I guess the easiest way might be to find a USB power/data cable, and solder the conductors to the cable conductors of the regular 660 car-cradle?

There's a mini USB socket on back of car mount. Use a USB extension lead if req.

Problem solved. The car does have a fag lighter socket hidden in the passenger footwell !

Did the car come with a handbook?

FYI the "USB" socket on the car cradle I believe is for the traffic antenna - and is not a USB lead if you were considering using it
