Yes I was asking. I thought 'full post code search' was maybe software and not hardware but it looks like it is both.....aye never mind but I do hope peeps don't buy the v8 thinking they can get it on there none NT units.
It is a software issue.

Full postcode info is only included in the V8NT map. Not in the V8 map. Thus only navigators as Quest2, 2720 and i3 running the V8NT can do full postcode search. Not the SP3, 2610, 60C nor 276C.

We'll folks, with all the gossip going on about v8 over the last couple of month's, where no one knew the true fact's.....now we do....it won't do full post code on none NT models.

It already did it on the later models so :nono to all those peeps that went on about 'Full post code search' and :nono to those that knew better (Garmin?)

Although the better coverage alone is worth the £48, I feel a bit of a fool being, 'shall we say' slightly taken in by the hype.

Presumably though the full postcode search will work on Mapsource even if not on the unit?

Jacal did your downloads take an age to both the PC and the Sat Nav unit?? Mine took about fifteen minutes!!!

The maps seem to be a bit more accurate (ie newish roads are shown), but otherwise, nothing outstanding on V8 from V6. Can't complain though, it cost me nothing.

No longer than usual Mike and at £48, I can't complain either/ithere :o , there's far more coverage than in v7 :thumb
