City navigator V7

After many hours spent trawling, and not being able to see the 600 quid benefit of the BMW version 2 plus, I am buying a 2610.
Is it going to cost me any money to use/unlock V7 as it appears to be supplied with V6 ?
Does anyone know from personal experience ?

Garmin have a policy of allowing free upgrades for units registered after a certain date. The date for v7 was back in January, so you'll be entitled to it. If it's a recently produced unit, it may come bundled with v7 anyway...

My Quest came with V6, i called Garmin they've dispatched V7 for me free of charge and the online registration "apparently" will generate a new unlock code for me free of charge....

it's all worked out from the date you register the bundled V6, so once thats registered, give Garmin a call.... you'll be in business

Not yet. Have had a thought about that though. How am I going to be able to navigate there without power? Will try the test of looking it up on me 'puter though.
