City Navigator V8

I've just bought one of the refurbished SP 111's with City Navigator V7 and have the V8 upgrade from Garmin.
I live about 20 miles from Leeds and I'm amazed that the A1-M1 link opened in 1999 isn't shown.
I have an old copy of Metroguide V3 from an old B/W Streetpilot and the A1-M1 link is shown.

Any ideas anyone ?

Yeah it's a problem. The unit tells you to turn off where there isn't a turn-off.

Do you still have CSv7 installed on your PC and is it possible the relevant map you have transferred and are looking at on your GPSR is not CNv8? If you select the map tab in Mapsource and fully expand the page the properties of each map will be displayed

Well it shows in both CS6 and CN8 on my pc and Quest. Are you sure you're not on the base map?

Infact CN8 even has the new sections of the A1(M), which have only just been completed this year, that replace the old A1 through Micklefield - just to the south of the link you mention above.

I don't have this problem with my CN8 either. The only bit where it goes nuts is the new detour around Ferrybridge.

I've looked at the Mapsource info as suggested and its definatley City Navigator Europe V8 I have installed.
I notice on the Garmin website there is a City Navigator Europe NT + V8.02 - is this an updated V8.0 ?

Maybe I'm not familiar enough with Mapsource !!
With the mapscale set at 10 miles the M1-A1 link doesn't show, but at 7 miles and below it does ?

On the SP111 it doesn't show at 5 miles but does at 3 and below.

You are entitled to a free mapping update to v8 with those refurbished units. Contact Garmin. A friend of mine recently got his FREE update no probs.
