Classic bikes show at Newark

Always worth a wander around(y), thanks for the reminder.

Went there today.

Demographic........male, grey, receeding hairline......

A bit 'meh'.

Lots of traders selling the same US Pro tooling, must be so competitive.

Didn't seem as busy as last year.

Nothing outstanding.

What did I buy ? Just a coffee and bacon roll :D

Worth the £16 entry or not ?

Last year going into the show someone gave me a free ticket on the way in, this year someone walked up to me and offered a ticket for £10 as one of their group couldn’t attend. I don’t think £16 is bad considering parking is included and it’s a pleasant hour or so walking around.

Better value if you think of some
Tools or bits that you might need .

As @dr nosh say’s it’s a pleasant post new year activity to have a walk around.

I went on the Saturday, I enjoyed it. It was busy in the morning but quietened down by early afternoon. Managed to restock my nuts/bolts/screws stock plus a load of cleaning stuff. Also made some useful contacts for supply of other stuff. There were a lot of bikes on show too.
On the down side there were a lot of stands selling tin signs and tee shirts, plus the usual mix of snake oil salesmen.
However, after going quietly stir crazy over Christmas and New Year stuck with in-laws, it was nice to get out of the house on my own and soak up some bike vibes. It’s also just down the A1 from me.
Worth £16? Yes for me but then I am mid-project so I was looking to restock supplies.

A few years ago the show had been really hyped up in the press so went went down and then spent less than an hour in the show but twice as long in the air museum
