I'm sorry.......

but THIS THREAD IS BOLLOX.

FFS get the bike and clean it or dont clean it!

Someone will be asking whether or not to purchase Halford's very own Sponge pack - with free screen wash - for £3.99 or a multi-buy pack of cleaning cloth in various colours from 'kin Tom's DIY Place. Oh, and what will the pros and cons be for each on a Sunday morning listening to John Peel or John Walker before or after taking the dog out for a walk.

:hammer

are they still doing there deal with a bucket and sponge down at halfords then ???

do you think i should go down there before my morning cuppa then ??:dabone :dabone :hapybnce:

Ming,
I dunno if Halfords' sponge deal is still on. I couldnt decide whether to go there or Tom's DIY. Can you help?;) :dabone :D

OK I have some explaining to do,

the RT is a bit top heavy.

Daver,If you think the RT is top heavy, try the GS Adv. with 31 litres in the tan, which is near the top of the bike  that was one of the reasons I dumped my GSA in favour of the 12GS, and I have an 1150RT. I inadvertantly dropped the GSA, stationary, on the side stand trying to get me legover :D and spent ten bollock breaking minutes picking the damn thing back up. Just my two penneth.

sorry got totally lost on this thread...

i first off started to read to understand why there was a necessity to clean a GS but did not find any answers... so mine will stay dirty.

.. then it seemed to divert for some unknown reason to a language class...

.. then to the pipe and slipper brigade

... probably the most sense was to go to the chippie...

wot was the thread about again?

6 years old GS with 26,000 miles on it. Dunno how fastidious the previous owners were about cleaning, but it looks to be wearing well to me :)

I bought my 2004 GS Adv -black with silver engine and cases last Nov and have never cleaned it. It still looks pretty clean now even though I have 7000 miles on it and it has seen alot of rain days and crappy roads. One of the big draws of the GS is that you really never have to clean it.
