Cleaning Info

I've got some small white spots on my front brake caliper. I imagine it's some sort of salty deposit(ooh er), whats the best stuff to remove it?

cold water and a brush, you could wipe some protector over the caliper (only) after to help prevent salt eating it.
Remember no oil etc. near pads or disc.
