I bought a Titan 1400W 30Ltr vacuum from Screwfix a few weeks ago. They were on offer at £54.99. I see they are now £69.99. In any event they have a blow function which is extremely powerful and does the job well. Plus it can be used for its other intended purpose.
S-DOC100 has stained the anodising slightly on the gold of my ESA rear shock, so I've ditched it for normal good quality car wash and the 2 bucket method.
Also, buy a set of detailing brushes for getting into the nooks and crannies. All purpose cleaner (the normal household type) diluted 1:4 in water is good for removing grim. I have a spray bottle to spray it on, then agitate it with a detailing brush, then hose it off.

I have got the BD2200, 2.2kW it works well, I would imagine the smaller ones just take a bit longer - the 2200 blasts the water away from the nooks and crannies very effectively rather than drying as such.
