Clear led rear lights

Yes its cosmetic, but this seems to be a no-brainer price wise. Anyone advise me why one is so much more expensive than the other.

Avoid rear enders!
Here is the answer - a product which can be fitted in minutes, is completely reversible and will make the tail light approximately 75% brighter than normal.
Our new LED Light Panels comprise a custom made panel with 40 red LED’s, which are of a special high intensity type.
There is also a plug-in connector to go into the existing bulb socket to make installation quick and reversible.
Where necessary there are 4 downward facing white LED’s to illuminate the number plate. Fitment would take no more than 10 minutes and is completely reversible.
The board also includes, if necessary, suitable electronics to avoid the Integral Brake System (IBS) system ‘thinking’ that the bulb has been changed/has blown.
Note - IBS is the system where a control-light in the dashboard indicates a defective bulb in the taillight - if your bike has ABS it does not always also have IBS !

I've got the Nippy Norman setup, although I'm awaiting a replacement clear lens as the first one was faulty.

Not sure about the increased brightness claims, although they SEEM brighter, I don't know how they can quantify it as a percentage...........?

The NN ones are sourced in Germany and I'd bet they are from the same manufacturer/source as the Touratech product..............?

With a thirty odd pound price difference, it is, as you say, a 'no-brainer'......

These two 'kits' are not the same.

I believe that the NN unit is a LED panel that fits into the existing lamp and a clear lens that screws into place to replace the standard red 'un.

The TT unit is a complete sealed item, so in fact you get more for less.

It seems to work really well with no warnings coming up on the display.

So my TT one finally arrived to day, and its a great performance and off-road ability enhancement.
How so you say?
Well it looks better, which makes you feel better and therefore ride better....

BUT anyhow, one puzzling thing. Despite having zero knowledge of German I reckon I can still work out colours and its seems at least on my bike the wires ahd to be connected the 'other way' around Anyhow, it works.

Pity they ship it with a reflector, have to come up with something to remove that offending block of non-silverness.

AND ANOTHER BUT! Fitting this drew my attention to the fact that with stock or replacement light theres a big gap between the unit and the plate hanger /back unit. Why didnt they make it flush? Odd.

TT light fell apart!

An update here.....it FELL APART!
Yes indeed, the clear lens had fallen off on its second ride. As stated above its an integral unit and it looked like only 3 small blobs of glue had been used to stick on the lens.

Obviously Im pretty and had to pit the original light back on before I could ride on sunday.

A call to TT....
