Afternoon all,

My 1999 R1150GS now wears a NN spotlight mounting plate under the 'beak'. It also has a set of H&B crash bars with the tank protector top part. I have a pair of PIAA spots to go on the front of the bike as well as a pair of Hella fog lights.

On mounting the PIAAs on the mounting plate, they can either go on above or below the plate. If I go by the writing across the front in the glass as indicating the right way up then they're clearly designed to fit above the plate. If I do fit them on top, there is only about a 3/4" gap between the top of the spot and the bottom of the crash bars on each side. If I fit them on the underside of the mounting plate, they are upside down (does that makes a difference to the beam pattern?) and are a bit more exposed looking.

Advice?

And as for how the heck I'm going to get the Hella fogs on, well let's leave that to later :)
