Clothing Advice Needed!!!!!!!!

Hi,
I'd recommend the Stitch. Mine is Black with black ballistics. I have it six years now and its done about 100,000 miles in all weathers. I've only had one zip pull break in that time. It's only been washed once and reproofed once in that time. There's years and years left in it still. I can wear it over my work clothes and be in and out of it in a few seconds. If I was buying again I would probably not go for the black as it gets hot in summer. There are loads of vents and pockets. I had it a year before I discovered them all. I agree the stitch is expensive but it will last for years so I think its a good investment. If it needs repair or alteration it can be sent back to the factory. The staff at Aerostich are very helpful and will advise you on sizing before purchase. :clap

Regards,
Kieran.

Yes if it's treated with nikwax etc......and to stay properly dry underneath, you do need to get the technique right for sealing the zips and their flaps.

Mine does nor soak up water as you describe, but it's only 'cos I can't be arsed to re-treat it :blast

I think the point he's raising is that does it use a liner, like the twat suit or is the outer material itself goretex... which it is. So even without treating, it soaks up nowhere near the amount of water the twat suit does. DAMHIK :blast

TrevMcDev of this here parish has the Olmpia suit and rates it very highly.

If I was in the market for another suit I would definitely consider it. :)

Feck me Aidan, who got those pics of me in my Olympia:augie

BMW do a coverall suite. A laminated Gortex type material. Quite stiff to start with. Hip and knee armour, but the back protector is extra (£20). It might be worth a look. Expensive at £420 odd, but not expensive if you compare it with a laminated HG 2 piece suite. It has been designed for commuting, going over normal work clothes –
