It is the BMW tool to adjust the lever free play from the actuating arm bolt and lock nut
Still looking does anyone know how much and where?

What's wrong with a spanner then?
The problem is holding the adjuster bolt so it does not move when you tighten the lock nut,
i have an idea that a box spanner would allow a small socket (10mm) in to hold the adjuster that is all the BMW tool appears to with a T bar welded to the outside.

Dont take the ribbing from the uneducated, they are a god send especially if you have hands like spades and sausage fingers like me.
I have just put a clutch in and hadent got the adjustment quite right, took me 3 minutes in the car park outside the dealers on Saturday morning.
I ordered mine from Vines and it cost about £35 if my memory servers me right. As far as I am concerned worth every fecking penny. Makes a pain in the arse job a piece of pee.
Did have to wait a while though as nobody had them in stock and it was a special order.
Okay,let's put this in engineering terms.
You have an M8x1.5 bolt with a locknut on it, that you want to tighten up.
You hold the bolt with your pinkies, and wind the locknut up finger tight.
If you tighten it 1/3 turn(plenty enough I would have though)and the bolt turns as well, then you will be 0.5mm(.020in) out on your correct adjustment at the gearbox end.
You have a cable 2 yards long,which is probably attatched to a half worn out clutch lever,which has a mile of adjustment on it anyway,so I wouldn't really worry about 20 thou at the gearbox, unless you are going to set it every day.
Having said that, I can knock you up an identical tool for just £95 if you think you really need one

i've got piano shifters hands not piano players and you cant get a spanner in there only a deep 13mm socket which means you cant stop the bolt from turning,
the last time i thought that will do it cost me for a new clutch from Steptoe and i like to get things right.

What a bargin, if I hadent got a 1200 I'd snap his hand off!

And to burn the clutch out, you must have been soooooo far out to start with.
Quick up date just got a 13mm box spanner had to cut about 1/2'' off as it would not fit behind the rear shock i just have to drill another hole for the T bar at 90 degrees to the original which might work with a bit of judicious fanangaling.
Use a long 13mm socket on a U/J or wobble bar to undo the locknut.
And as vern says, adjust the 10mm bolt head by hand so you have play at the arm.
Then tighten lock nut.
