Managed to remove the grub screw without any problems:)

Didn't bother buying a bleed nipple. Just used the cover from a ballpoint pen, (the ones that are open so that little kiddies don't choke when they swallow them) Worked a treat:D Fluid was clean, so it seemed a waste of time, but I refilled master cylinder twice, and pumped that through.

Ferkin sprung loaded ball bearing won't seal:rolleyes: (I've read that this part can be removed & a nipple put in its place:)

But as I was lucky enough to get the grubscrew out................ how often does the thread snap off when trying to remove this part?

I've made temporary:augie repair with PTFE tape, but would like to make a permanent rectification.

So who has successfully removed this part......................& who has had problems. How much is it?

complete new bleed assembly is around £27.. i priced one cos i couldnt get the grubscrew out... the hex drive had rounded

howmuch

Binning it, and relacing it with a bleed nipple would seem to be both the cheaper & better option then.
