Clutch Cable

Looking at my clutch cable adjustment there is only about 8mm of thread in the adjuster at the perch, this is a new cable so was wondering if this is about right compared to everyone else or whether my clutch is tad worn about 5500 miles on the clock

for info, ended up with just 5mm adjuster left in the perch on a good day and 2mm after a bad hill. Decided to get the clutch replaced and glad i did. full adjustability now in the perch kept the old plates and measured them less than 2mm thick compared to the 3.5mm (from the specs) for the good ones so am glad i did this before the cambrian
