Hi
My LC is almost impossible to get neutral when running & the gear change is shocking, I have tried adjusting the Allen screw on the lever but no better. Decided to drop out clutch to inspect and only thing I have noticed is all the steel plates are coloured blue/black, is this how they ? if not I’m guessing they’ve got hot.

20k, love the bike and can deal with the horrible gear change, but not being able to get neutral is a real pain, can't believe this is how they are

2 things i'd check; Clutch adjustment - how's your biting point on the lever? Oil level - is it at the right level in the sight glass (when at operating temperature)

They're not like that. Mine slips into Neutral with ease and has a great gear change.

I doubt it’s worn at 20000, mine lasted to over 40000 with a lot of off road abuse.

Biting point is a long way out, I dropped the oil to measure & it had 3.5ltrs come out

What year is the bike? There was a clutch pushrod mod to the early bikes which was supposed to cure the clunk into gear and make the gear change smoother.

I think it did exactly the opposite to mine....

It's 2013, have checked the rod & it already has the later 57.5mm rod

Which, as I said, I'm sure made mine worse. Adjusting the screw on the clutch lever went a long way to making it better. However, it's quite a fine line between making it better and clutch slip.
You might want to try backing it off a bit. If I remember correctly, the updated pushrod was actually shorter. The thinking seemed to be that less clearance between the clutch plates would result in
less oil being dragged between them and therefore less clutch drag. I was unconvinced at the time.

Has anyone had experience with fitting a rekluse to resolve this ?

I’ve just fitted my second Rekluse, the first one broke up after 20000m, this one is dragging like Ru Paul. Not sure what to do with it. In hindsight I wish I had fitted a genuine clutch as that lasted over 40000m

I’d suggest one or more of the plates are distorted / warped.
Causing the drag.

That’s what Rekluse said my issue could be which is disappointing as it’s all new plates. When mine is warmed up it’s a lot better, hoping it gets better the more I use it.
