Who told you this as my mate simon from CMC Newport has not said anythink about this ?
Apparently there’s been re-stocking being carried out on-site, when asked what was happening they said it was re-opening as CMC Thunder Road.
Might call by tomorrow see if its real.

Show room has several bike in so looks positive.
All over Facebook here. Lots aren’t happy as they’re using the old branding of the CMC that went pop taking peoples money and bikes as well as Thunder Road did.

Went there this morning for breakfast. Me and wifey had a nice cooked breakfast at a reasonable cost, some good looking cakes as well. Plenty of bikes on show, new and used, good selection.
Which branch, I didn't notice a cafe at the Bridgend shop when I was there a few times recently?
Bridgend. It’s upstairs. Not been open long.
It is indeed open but the cafe has been reduced to half of its previous size.
