Come on guys who owns an Africa Twin ???

Any recommendation apart from ContiTrailAttack 2 for the bike anyone?

You should be able to get them from Tyreleader, they aren't UK based but I've bought all of my tyres from them over the last few years.

Is there a front connection prewired on the AT for a GPS at the moment mines in the 12v front socket?

I went to see about installing the ContiTrailAttack 2 last week and after the fitting shop tried contacting two differnt supppliers it appears theres none available in the UK at the moment

Yea I fitted one to mine and whilst its way better than standard, the wind is still buffeting me on the top of my helmet.I may look into a laminate lip do-dad

Behind the clocks there is a plug that has a blanking plug on it, in it is 4 wires Blue Silver, Blue, Red/Yellow and a Green one
The Red/Yellow is a 12v switched Positive from the Ignition
The Green is Earth

Wire the Nav to this and hey presto sorted

Thank you for posting that Adventure Boy!

The Loan bike I had for 2 weeks had TKC70s fitted they were better than the OE but the Contis are better

Just rang up and theres stockof Contis come in so booked in for next week

Is there a default type plug to fit this alternatly I`ll just use posi taps ?

There's a few suppliers on ebay for Honda type plugs, also a few of the Honda harness's popping up that fit it (for install of power outlet / grips etc.)

Andi, if you want to buy different plugs etc look on eastern beaver , he's in Japan but great to deal with and a lot of his gear is better than Oem, also rugged roads have the plugs you need .

The plug you're looking for is a Sumitomo 4 way HM 090 female connector.

Ebay is where I got mine. :thumb2

1) Am I right in thinking this is to connect to the switched live under the seat? And that I could then simply connect my positive and negative from my fusebox into this?
2) how did you guys wire in the garmin and are you mounting Garmin on the screen cross brace?

yes, seen that, but still need clarity on Q1...

Answer to Q1, no it's not for the switched live under the seat because the under the seat is a 6 pole connector & yes I think it is the alarm connector. (the 4 pole is for the plug behind the dash)

Works perfectly on mine although I only have a sat nav & USB charger powered up from here, if you want serious power then best use a battery feed and switch it with a relay from the alarm connector.
