Bash plate is standard yes. No 1 is starter relay, looks like the red wire has corroded and come adrift, quite common.
Makes sense. Ten years since I’ve been at a bike. I’ll have a look first where the red wire goes. The cable on the right is the abs sensor.Bash plate is standard yes. No 1 is starter relay, looks like the red wire has corroded and come adrift, quite common.
Good news about the bash plate. I’ll just buy new fixings.Bash plate is standard yes. No 1 is starter relay, looks like the red wire has corroded and come adrift, quite common.
Port 87?Red wire should be going to the starter relay
Looks like 3 of the 4 wires are attached, you should be able to see a terminal in the block connector which has no wire attached. Can't remember which terminal on the relay that is, it may be 87.Port 87?
There was afer market stuff in there I ripped out ages ago. It might have been like this for ages...Should start on the button now. Looks right, presumably it was the socket with a terminal but no wire?
Thanks for that. I hit the deck hard and the protection did its job.Definitely a standard bash plate, Motorworks sell the rubber mountings for them, I’ve just replaced them on my 2007 gs.
They have a hex metal plate on both ends of the rubber attached to a threaded bolt so should unscrew fairly easily. They screw directly into the sump casing one end and have a nut on the other.
I think I've just the standard gs! I'll get the Haynes out tomorrow and get the tank off.I see also you have silver frame, must have started life as a GS? Mine is same, GS converted to GSA tank.
well I'm meeting this guy tomorrow to buy them! Attaches straight to the battery. Are these
ZTechnik Z5142 Xenon HID auxiliary lights?
Good price reasonably local…
These can be directly attached to battery?
Well I’ve just bought these for €50. If they are what I hope, bargain. Hoping they will fit on the old spots fittings. Are these

Thanks mr TL - for better or worse I bought something off adverts.I have these on my GSA. Good light output. Bolt straight on the same as the stock spotlights.
Considerably cheaper than the ones you linked to earlier. And a nice white led
