I have been trying out an idea on my seat, - Vet Bed -is a made up sheet a bit like a sheepskin and was originally made for bedridden folk to stop sores.

It is now manufactured by various companies for various uses-one being dog bedding!

Anyway i,ve used it as such and the dogs were impressed so i thought feck that looks comfy i,ll try a bit on my seat[1150].

Best result for me is to have two layers, cut to size.It is machine washable to 90 degrees and is virtually indestructable.

Comes in different colours and thicknesses.

I just typed it into Google and sent off for it ,any size you want.

Sheepskin seat comfort

The New Zealanders swear by a sheepskin on the seat for added comfort. I'd never heard of it before I went there for a tour a couple of years ago. So, I have it in mind to get something sorted out for the big trip coming up. Thanks for the tip.

How are you fixing it to the seat?
Not sure how the NZ guys do it... I'll do some research.

Heres my solution to the problem, the Sheepskin is a help but for more comfort I use an inflatable camping pillow underneath it, the pillow has almost no air at all in it otherwise you get the squishy floaty feeling, it is now good for all day comfort :thumb2 I will keep my eyes peeled for a shorter pillow as this one shows a little at the back of the seat, but at this level of comfort I really dont care.

I took those pictures after the sheepskin had just come out of the washing machine after its annual bath :thumb2
