Coming to Istanbul - advice needed!

Hoping to escape from Transylvania at the end of September for a week or so - and fancy a few days in Istanbul ... It looks like MrIfan might be along too...

Looking for advice on somewhere nice to stay - but not too pricey - with secure bike parking. We will be with the girls - so fairly central for expoloring would be good...

Any good tips for a few days in the city? And it could be cool to meet up with the local tossers!

I'll be around as well, so a beer or three would be good for me too. Let me know if you need any info on the place. Whatton's suggestion for a hotel is a good 'un. It's very central and according to the mob that came out with him, was comfy too.
