Shame we've moved onto the 'best looking airhead' theme again, that said, I agree with John and I also think it's the best package with decent forks and a big enough fuel tank - it only needs the rear shock and front brake improving and it's near enough perfect for one up, two up and gentle off-roading

The cubby box is the best thing about the bike
cheers to that. Very handy compartment. Haven't tried yet but you must be able to fit a coupla beers and ice in there 
Forgot that a lot of you blokes probably don't get the link between beer and ice

I agree with Rob the cubby hole is a excellent addition...
I use mine as a cool box...
When we in Morroco so did all the others...
You can keep cheese in it all day
There is no comparison the moded bike is in a different class...On road and much more so off road
I prefer it to my HP2 off road
Sorry Bill I disagree,to much useless plastic on a GSPD for me
It's not usless plastic when your riding at 70 with a decent screen fitted

I know I'm probably awakening the Prince of Darkness by saying this but in all the years I've been riding airheads I've never had one fail.

i have had one go on my old PD, and seen loads fail on guzzis (identical part). that's why i'd say they are a weak point.
at least you might get some warning if you notice the charge light doesn't come on when you turn the key. FPC will most likely just fail

The biggest complaint I have about my GSPD is the original seat was to slippy and you just slid from end to end. I changed it for a Single seat and rack unit and I found that too low. I recon a higher single seat and it would be perfect.
I must get out on it more but usually plump for the 1150.

Had a rotor go on my old R80, in the depths of France, and had problems with both voltage regulator and diode board on my mono RS. All are weakpoints !
My PD now has a high output regulator from MotoBins, but I'm very tempted by the solid state alternator that Bam Bam has. Instructions for fitting are a tad confusing, but may go this route soon. Least I can go round and ask Bam Bam for help ????
