Are they different Techlusion for single or twin spark GS's?

I have a 1030 model, initially fitted to a single spark 1150, now on a twin spark. In both instances set up via a rolling road.

R259 model on an '03 adv twin spark, I think the r259 is BWM's engine designation too?

Go ask on their website but feel sure it works on all R259 engines - 2 spark or 4 ... after all it plugs into one injector...
and lamda sensor - number of sparks of no consequence.

The 1031 techlusion will fit all R1100 & all R1150 BMW's. For any other info/settings/supply on techlusion I will be happy to help.

From what I can gather, the 1030/1 was the older model Techlusions. Some of which (1030?) you had to cut and join wires to fit it to the BMW loom?

The R259 is the newer type and has matching BMW connectors and clips directly into the loom. It works on single or twin sparks. It is more dependant on your connector type.

The later BMWs normally have the 1032 type, or at least my 03 Rockster does. See plug types below.

R259 fitting instructions here.

i was told by techlusion USA & TTS that the 259 is better suited for folks keeping the cat & the 1030/1 was what you wanted for y piece & can etc.

never did see the logic in that but that's what i was told.

1030 models have to be spliced into the trigger wires for the FI. a bit tricky as the wires are pretty short, hard to lengthen 'cos of access and also rather thin guage.

techlusion supply some of those nasty connectors that cut through the insulation to connect. name for these aboninations escapes me, i must have purged it from memory*.
i would avoid such a bodge on my bike.

*i've remembered: Insulation Displacing Connector
