Is there any reason it's not a good idea to use the jump start terminal for the positive end of the lead?
Will save taking the battery out. 🤔

It has a threaded connection for exactly this purpose. You can also use the heated gear lead to connect a battery charger or tyre pump if you get a suitable adapter to join the leads.

Good, thanks, it's a pain taking the battery out when you have ten thumbs.

That's exactly how my heated jacket and auxiliary wire for my compressor etc are wired up

I use the positive post for 3 feeds on my bike (all fused separately) my Hex ezecan, Bike cam and the SAE flying lead for my optimate, heated vest and Airman mini compressor. Used this configuration on 4 BMWs so far without any issues and as you say far easier than taking the battery out. It's worth putting a bit of copper grease etc on the 2 rubber O rings the cover loctes into too to help prevent them becoming displaced when you refit the cover.
