Guys,
I want to replace the connector for the fuel pump and fuel level sensor (the module which fits to the tank)
I have tried to extract the pins/sockets, but can't find anything thin enough to slide over the pins/sockets to release the tabs. Any ideas?
The other option is to destroy the connector body and fit the pins to a new body. It looks like it's made by Amphenol, but has anyone had any luck sourcing a new connector body (and pins)?

There is a special tool to remove the pins. Make sure you slide the blue locking plate on the plug out of the way before you push the pins out

If you 're going to replace teh connector it doesn't need to be like for like. Google (or search ebay) for AMP Superseal and you'll find a high quality range of connectors used on many European bikes.

I used a ballpoint pen refill, parker I think, cut it to about 2" long, just the right size to slide over the pins and compress the locking tabs to let the pins slide out.:beerjug:

Thanks Kenny,
I've tried this idea but the gap between the connector and the body is so thin that I can just get a straw down, but then the straw isn't strong enough to push. Maybe it's possible to curl an old feeler gauge blade into the right diameter?
