No oscillating front wheel wobble @ 40mph anymore, from the previous Tourance

Scrubbed in tonight over 50 miles and nearly got to the edge already, the tarmac is so warm in these heatwave temps

I have just came back from a 4000 mile tour around europe with those tyres, cant fault them even fully loaded and 2 up.

I did around 600 miles in the rain and they performed really well, obviously i wasnt gunning it but i was more than happy with the feedback and grip. My last tyres were old model trail attacks and these are an improvement over them. I have almost 5000 miles on the tyres now and the rear is around a third worn.

I've been running them on my 1190. It's the first time I've used them and I'm really pleased with them, especially when you see how skinny the front 21" is they really have no right to grip and handle like that

Run through the winter and now summer (as well as easy trail hooning/bimbling) I can't fault them and will replace with the same.

Wear rate ties in with cbrgaz, and that's with 'proper' power being laid down by the back wheel.

had several pairs on 1200GSAs. great feel and grip, wet or dry.

i now have them on the 1190 where they are just as good....

....except they now wobble on slowing between 50 and 40. only if i take my hands off the bars - so i don't

40-50 miles and they were fine, lean angles are more than adequate for my needs

I remember having Road Attacks on my 1100RT and you could get the pegs & fairing lowers on the tarmac with those babies, hope for similar on the lardy 1150 GSA

got 6.000 mile out of a set only usually get 4.500 to 5.000 on other brands well happy with the grip just fitted new set ready for spain ect.

Yes .. I have these on the 1190 and have to say I'm pretty impressed. 4.5 K on the rear and its a bit squared off, but not enough to warrant a change yet. That's unheard of! I'm normally done by 4k on a rear.

They don't use release compound, so no need to scrub.

My no.1 favourite tyre on 800gs. Really great in the wet as well.

Got 8000 miles on my current set and just getting ready for change.

But then I ride like a girl...

Sounds like you're pleased with your choice, I've used Conti Trail Attack on my bikes for a few years and rate them highly, I was getting 4500 to 5000 miles out of a rear on the air/oil cooled 1200's but saw 6000 from a rear on the LC Adventure, I think they have changed to Trail Attack 2 now ( a dual compound I believe) still great roadholding wet or dry, quiet and predictable at or near the limit I'd be reluctant to change to any other tyre despite reading great reviews on one or two alternatives.

The rear let go coming out of a chicane ! Admittedly it was on the hottest day of the year (must have been about 32 degrees) and probably well outside the optimum temperature parameters, interestingly the only other bike to fall through tyre grip out of a corner, was another adventure style bike on scorpions.

So yes ... great tyres, but they have their limits and those limits can be found by mere mortals like us ...

Thank feck for crash bars!! My powder coated (after the Taffy dakar event) bar has taken another hit but completely done its job !!

I fitted a pair of TA 2's for my American trip. In all honesty I'm looking forward to getting the Tourances back on. The TA's are just too skittish for me.
