Conti TA2

I have just acquired a set of TA2's to fit to my 57 plate 1200 gs. Might be a thread to keep on the back burner but I'll post feedback as the miles tick by. I bought them pretty much as a result of 'research' on here and J.B's input.

Will see how they suit my style of riding

I like 'em, Chris

Some other friends really rate them, so that's why I jumped from Metzeler

Had my TA's on my 850 about 2years now, after the Avons did this. Having had Tourances, then Distanzias and now the TA's I prefer the TA's. Cracking tyre's. Mine have done about 5k and I reckon there just over half worn. I fear the front won't last out the rear though.

Just fitted a set of attack2's to my 990adv. Although these are tubless tyres I am having to run them with tubes in the KTM spoked wheels.. I have only done 300 miles so early days to see how they fare. The KTM 's are usually quite sore on the rear tyres.
The tyres have a more rounded profile than the Pirelli scorpions that I have used in the past. The conti TA2's seem to let the bike roll better into the corners.

That's intersting, I've just replaced a set of Scorpions with another set of Scorpions and noticed that the bike rolls in a lot better. I'm putting it down to very old, squared off tyres versus new tyres.

To be honest I rated the scorpions as a very good tyre,I had problems with the front end of my bike which turned out to be the wheel needing truid. But i had already bought a set of the conti's to try.
New tyres always feel better than the old squared ones as you said.
