Anyone have them fitted to their LC who can comment on the wear rate?

Not yet but have a pair on order. I am destroying these TKC 80`s a bit quick.

TKC80's on an LC is never going to score high on the mileage longevity stakes :D

I'm liking the look of the TKC70's though and would like to think they are a good compromise.

Ive got a set on mine had them a week now the grip is very good a lot better than the Anakee or Next. only prob I am having is a slight weave above 90 with the boxes on ive found if I have the rear tyre at 36psi its better apart from that they are great.
would be interested in hearing if any one else is suffering the weave

I assume you mean off road? I don't see how these will handle better on road.

I certainly prefer the TKC70s on road - for a start they are silent vs the Anakee wail!. Can't fault them so far (although only about 150 miles done to date)

The weave over 90 concerns me

It's very slight, I think it's due to being a very soft compound rubber and pretty deep tread so I guess it may improve as they wear.
It's strange because at normal speeds they handle brilliant and like I said the grip is very good too.

I have now done about 200 miles on mine (on a 2013 1200 LC) I am really impressed. The wet grip is astonishing and their behaviour over wet mud, leaf-mould, grit etc is so solid and planted it could almost make one over confident. The rare few miles that I have had where the road has ben dry is the same super grip, quiet..boot scraping grip on longer corners and roundabouts. Have been briefly up to 100 mph with no issues and at a steady 85 they behave brilliantly. Tp's are: is F 2.0 and R 2.3 bar. Briefly off road on gravel they seem fine but I bottled at the muddy ruts on my own.... They were also brilliant in Sainsburys car park too! As I say...very impressed. now to see how they wear!:clap

I spoke to someone at Dalkeith in September who had a pair fitted to his 1200gsa wca , he had been given a part used pair from the Continental rep to try out and was very impressed having done a full continental tour on them including some offroading and thought they would be able to do 6000 plus on the rear

Ive just ordered a pair of TKC70s from Tyre Leader. £167.30 plus fitting at local prices. It seems they have Trail Attack rubber compound and carcass with the more blocky tread. They are effectively a less aggressive version of the K60 Scout but in radial weave rather than cross ply.

I have the 70's on mine, 2000miles in, barely look run in, very impressed so far. There is a little weave at 'silly speeds'. Took them to Salisbury Plain and they performed well in damp conditions off-road, was pretty impressed. I used to use KC60Scouts on my old Triumph and so would say they are comparable and give a fair amount of confidence with the R1200GSA LC.

So far impressed, but bear in mind they will go where the tarmac stops, so don't expect to be able to rag at crazy speeds everywhere too, although in all fairness they haven't shown me they can't handle it!

Any updates from those that fitted the TKC70 to the bike? What mileage did you get from a set?
