I got a good deal, and its white.
I had my 09 bike 20 months and covered 21000 miles with no problems at all. 2014 has the makings of the best touring year for ages so I would have a bike with 36000 miles this time next year. Once over 30000 miles second hand values plummet. I did the maths and after deducting my existing Warranty and European recovery costs for two years a new bike now makes so much sense.
The salesman will be able to tell you how long it takes for me to part with money, this is a cold, logical purchase.
I looked around at the NEC and nothing except the KTM and the Std GS1200 fired my imagination. I was very disappointed with the Suzuki V strom 1000 and Honda confirmed no Africa twin in the near future. My alternative was a nearly new twin cam, because these have all the toys the cost was almost the same as a new LC.

Also I love the excitement of a new bike every few years, riding and holidays are the reason I go to work. No matter how many times you have ridden a road its different and fresh on a new machine.

Well done and roll on next year...!! Maybe BMW should throw us all a set of freebies in as we are going to all look like their sales team...?? PS will your panniers fit...??

We will look like their sales team if your GSA arrives before May.

No my panniers and top box will not fit.

The official line from BMW is the exhaust moved from left to right so you don't burn your leg when pushing?????

What they could not say is -
To prevent riders reusing perfectly good luggage, BMW or by others which they have already spent hundreds of pounds buying we swapped the rear end. We realised what a good money earner this is and made the rack so the old top box will also not fit.

I think to be fair to BM, it does make sense to have the feck off exhaust away from the side of the bike where you and your pillion will stand and mount ...... (if you see what i mean ..) :)

Also to be fair BMW did keep the design of the hexhead luggage the same from 2004 until 2013 so that it was interchangeable for all models GS and GSA - not bad really ;)

I am just glad that they changed the exhaust from that cheese grater on the 2010 GSA which left your sponge in tatters...!!

I have a lot of faith in Allan Jefferies, I am sure they won't let me down in the delivery of the new GSA - It would be a shame to end up going on holiday sat cramped on a Multi Strada...! lol
