Cornwall....emmetting...

Last day of emmetting Cornwall!
Left at 0730 very easy ride up to Gloucester services for a motorway brek. Decent services as seen on TV.
Less traffic so made good time ip to M5/M6 junction which seems to always have a traffic jam.
As someone wisely said, traffic is better once past the M55 and finally off into Lancashire.
We have a mate....through stalking...who has a farmhouse near Colne and was putting us up for the night.
He is a bit of a petrol head and sponsors a m/c race team...in fact was heading back to the IoM the afternoon after we left. He is pally with John McGuiness of TT fame. John McG is keen on shooting and has taken it up with the help of John our host, who is also a shooting coach. John had sourced a Berretta gun and part of his 'payment' was John McG' s helmet...

...this is one of the 2 supplied to JMcG by Shoei every year as part of his sponsorship deal...made to measure and painted beautifully...a work of art and a one off.

A fine night at the Craven Heifer, good grub, and a couple of beers, mindful that a decent start was needed the next day.
Off through the moors via Settle to the M6, brek at Tebay and up the road to the north.
Ever mindful of rozzers on overbridges....we used Waze which has constantly up dated live information about road conditions and rozzer locations and home.
Great trip good emetting....not sure about travelling with another couple, but at least I didn't have to drive!
Different folk have different ideas about lane disciplibe is all I'll say!
Thats your lot.

That's good deal ; needs a little cabinet for it on display.

I’ve only ever been to Cornwall rock climbing, It looks good and I’d quite like to meander round on the bike but I don’t like busy places and I suspect I wouldn’t be alone in the warmer months
