Has anyone else had a problem getting in touch with the parts department at Cotswolds.

I've had 3 weeks of hell trying to sort a refund for one item and another item that has not turned up.
I tried nearly every day to get hold of them last week. one day i rang up every hour nearly and still no joy.
Then last saturday i did get though, but the parts guy working could not help as he could not use the system.
I did get a call from Alex and he managed to sort the refund.
Now a week later the part i need is still not here.
Again i tried to get though to the parts department, but again no luck.
The ladie on the main desk gave me Alex email address. So i sent him an email today.
He did reply and was very understanding and would get it sorted. by the way Alex told me he is in Spain on holiday.
At about 4.30 Alex gives me a call and said he has got hold of another part and is sending it by DPD.

My problem with the parts department is they never seem to answer there phone and never ring back when a ringback request is sent to them from the main desk. Alex has been very good in doing his best to sort this out. but sadly his team are letting the side down.

Also today i rang up NOG and orderd the part from them to. So if they both turn up i will have a spare. And if the first one Cotswolds sent turns up i will send it back.

Its a pain not having a BMW Motorrad dealer now in south wales.

last time I was in CM they seemed to have a lot of new staff. Alex, the boss I think, Steve in bike sales and Rob in service were the only ones I recognised. Others were new.

Aren't you getting a bike dealer soon, within the car dealer?

Sytner?
I’d sooner ride to Cotswold in person and see Alex.

I would use Cotswold for preference if it was practical as I used to live 2 miles from them and got to know them after buying the RS in 2016. I was putting 2 bikes in there for service from 2018 to 2022.

Last year, I used Sytner in Shrewsbury for my shaft change and they were fine. A small bike operation compared to Cotswold but the service chap knew his stuff and they loaned me a R1300GS for free. If I lived in Cardiff, I would give Sytner a go, especially if just wanting to buy some parts like the OP.

All moot now, as I have abandoned the brand.

I’ve been using Cotswold (not local to me) in Gloucester and then Cheltenham for both car and bike parts pretty much exclusively for the last 12 years.
On the Motorrad side both Nick and then Alex have been first rate. Never had an issue. Yep - they get busy so you might not get straight through and you might have to wait a bit for a ring back but as I say, the service I have received has always been first rate despite the fact I’ve never actually bought a bike from them.

quite telling that the "meet the team" link for the Cotswold Motorrad team does not work. Maybe they are experiencing staff turnover like many businesses, or laying people off like many in the motor trade? It will be a shame if the exemplar for good customer service goes titsup.
