Could a some-one with a GSA please post a picture of the positioning of his winglets.

I got some for my 1200 and want to make sure I mount them in the correct spot.

I tried searching for a GSA winglet close-up picture, but could not find one.

The Dealer near me does not have a GSA for me to look at.:(

Thanks

You might not need the pic. If you feel the underside of the beak you'll find the mouldings that should be cut out when installing additional accessory sockets on the beak. There are cut-outs in the winglets that should be positioned over these so that you can install winglets and socket(s) together.

The only other consideration is clearance between the lower rear corners of your windshield when in an upright position and the leading edges of the winglets.

I asked re winglets at my local BMW and they told me to beware in that on the GSA they are supported by some kind of framework beneath ( I don't know this!). The concern was that, without support, cracking would appear on the fixing points. Might be worth asking others if they've had a problem - I would still be interested.

Can't see it being a problem. I've even dropped the bike (not an Adv) while offroading and it went right over. The winglets just flexed on the plastic which actually saved them from more damage.
