Could a 1200 owner post a couple of photos for me?

I'd like a close ish shot of your sidestand in the up position, and in the down position.

From the side will do.

Thanks in advance

Jamie

2008 model complete with one of Chunk's extenders, the side and center stand changed from 2006 if it helps.

Whats that black perforated metal strap thingy - I dont remember that on my 2004 bike.

It's a test for us 1200 owners - see if we have read the manual and know where the side stand is and how it operates :)

Only replies came from 1150 owners who all said theirs were better! :D
I expect most of them have never even operated a 1200 sidestand, but wish they had one. Probably have a secret desire to reach out and feel the smoothness of the action.

Well ..... Do you know what, when I had the 1200GSA for the day riding around sunny Cornwall the side stand was one of the few bits that would take a bit of getting used too. When parking the park (and I only ever use the side stand) I was always worried as I got off because, having that bend it never felt as if it had come forward enough.

Other than that, the seat and the bars it wasn't too bad :D

Cheers fellas.

I was looking at the fitment. To see if I could do straight swap with my 1100.

Looks like it migh go. But then again, I may get one with a kink in it fabricated, the angle of lean with my current extended one is getting on me nerves, especially with the new boxes.

Thanks anyway.
